Kingpapi always says music’ve been influenced by the community he grow up, culture and sounds of their hometown. In fact, his rapid rise as a well-known Afro Pop Musician couldn’t have happened without these powerful influences. His signature style has made his musical instantly recognizable, and extremely popular. Kingdom Eke Maduabuchi who goes by a stage name 'King Papi' hails from Owerri in Imo state. He was born on May 3rd, 1996. He is the last Child in a family of five.

King Papi has always been an ambitious young man, as this was evident from how he transformed his love for music to passion for music making. As a kid, he loved music so much that his mum would always testify how she sings for him when he cries. In a way, music changed and lifted the level and effect of his aura on people.

The manifestation of his love for music as a kid became more evident when he started playing drums in church at the tender age of five (5), and this kept going.

Similarly, he danced as a kid; as a matter of fact, he danced so well that his talent bore good fruits by serving as a source of income for his school fees, it also provided him a much needed scholarship.

He discovered in JSS1 that he could sing, he developed passion for rap at this stage of his life by mimicking great singers of his days.

He was so passionate about music in high school that he never went home immediately after school, he would go straight to the studio to record with his uniform still on him because he knew he had to focus on his goal and make his passion his priority. He would go home late to his very angry parents who would punish him countless times, but this never marred his drive and passion for music at that age, instead this pruned him. He would sneak out of the house to go for music shows and return the next day most of the time.

In 2014 he got admission into the prestigious Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) - Calabar to study Chemistry, he has since graduated. While in school, he still had passion for music and this was still evident in his collaborations. In 2015 he got on what he described then as "the biggest stage of his career", he was invited to perform on the 2015 Calabar Carnival stage with a group called 'Classic Music'. Due to the demand from School, 2016 was a difficult year in his amateur career.He went professional in 2017 in his 300 level, he dropped his music online, and his song titled 'The Way' made him famous in Calabar. He is a DJ, a producer, graphics designer, music director and songwriter, and all these multitalents made his transformation to a professional very easy as he writes and produces his songs.

He has his record label named 'Young World Music (YWM)', where he signed a couple of musicians to work with. He is very ambitious and would welcome opportunities to grow, with support from fans and well wishers. His Facebook pages goes by @KingPapi and Instagram handle by @kingpapi_kingpapi

He has had performances in Budapest City of Hungary (where he calls his second home) in 2018 at the DJ Emperor show, performances in Port Harcourt in Rivers State in 2019 as well as other show invites.
